The Nintendo DS and “r4” adaptor, the perfect holiday gaming devices

If you’re going away this summer it might be an idea to pack your Nintendo DS and all the accompanying accessories as well. After all the last thing you want is to be stuck indoors if the weather turns bad, and having nothing to do whilst indoors. Such portable entertainment devices can keep the whole family entertained with quizzes, games and the editing features that feature on the DS and DS Lite. What’s more whilst you’re on holiday you should still be able to connect to the internet via WiFi, meaning the “r4” will certainly see some good use out of it whilst you’re on holiday. A common holiday destination for many Brits this summer will of course be France - with its unique gîte accommodations set amongst stunning natural backdrops. Sometimes these can be set in very rural areas, and you’re unlikely to see any electronic shops. So before you go make sure your “r4” has the latest software installed, and be sure to take all the accompanying software, micro SD cards, chargers etc.

with you. Often it can be hard diverting the kid’s attentions away from their portable consoles, so with this in mind why not try and encourage them to learn a bit of French (if this is your chosen holiday destination). They can even use programs available on the DS to translate new words and phrases from French into English or vice-versa. Of course they may not have a problem if the gîte is run by an English family or couple- as many are nowadays. If you do forget your “r4” adaptor, whilst on holiday you may even find that the owners of the French cottage will have a spare one, especially if they have their own children staying with them. But, one shouldn’t solely rely on the owners even being there when you are. So it’s best to pack everything you could possibly need whilst on holiday. Also be sure to take the necessary adapters, if you’re going on holiday abroad, as not all countries will have the same power supplies as we do in England.

Great and amazing adaptor

If you’re thinking of buying a “r4” adapter abroad for your Nintendo DS or DS Lite, it’s worth checking to see if it’s a proper authenticated card as they are a lot of copies and fakes on the market, sometimes it can be very hard to tell the difference. Furthermore if the information on the package and instructions aren’t in English, it’s a much better idea to buy from home and then take on holiday with you. Although cheaper prices can sometimes be obtained by buying products like “r4” adaptors from abroad, a lot can be said from having the necessary product support in your home country. So if anything were to go wrong whilst on holiday, all it would take is a quick phone call or email to find a resolution to the problem. Most holiday cottages in France, even in remote rural areas, will have access to the internet or at the very least a phone line for international calls.
